Cardwell Campground & General Store is located in between Bozeman and Butte directly off Interstate 90 at Exit 256. Cardwell is a Small community located next to Whitehall with family ranches and bordered by Jefferson River and Boulder River. Jefferson River passes through a region of significant geological diversity, with some of the oldest and youngest rocks of North America and a diversity of igneous, metamorphic, and sedimentary formations. Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail also passes by the property making it a must stay location to access Lewis and Clark, Pipestone and Yellowstone easily.
